This will not only help extend the life of your Jordans mattress but also ensure the validity of your warranty.
• Please ensure that your Jordans mattress is installed and maintained according to the Manufacturers warranty. Much is resting on it!
• What was considered acceptable installation and care practices the last time you purchased a mattress set will not work as well today and may actually cause damage that voids your warranty. Current installation and care instructions take these changes into account and protect your investment by preserving the warranty.v

Correct Installation – the Key to Comfort and Support:

• Steel bed frames should be heavy gauge and stable, with balanced proportions that fully support the combined weight of adults (often 2) and the sleep set. Of concern is the mattress set’s vital centre-third area where most weight is concentrated, particularly in double, queen and king size.

Wood Bed Sets

• Expect that your bed set will require additional cross supports to carry the combined weight of sleep set and occupants (ranging from Queen: 450 lbs. to 550 lbs.; King: 550 lbs. to 650 lbs.) Installation caused damage will void your warranty.
  • Eliminate the problem by retrofitting the bed set frame with additional cross slats to ensure the mattress set and bed-set perform well together.
  • Many bed producers will supply additional matching cross supports for a nominal charge.

Most importantly, flip and/or rotate your mattress.

• Reversible mattress maintenance involves turning your mattress upside down (flip) and end to end (rotate) alternately on a regular basis.
  • Every 2 weeks for the first 3 months
  • Then every 3 months thereafter

Foundation Maintenance

• Is performed by rotating (reversing end-to-end) the box spring or posture base and by moving each to the opposite position in the frame, i.e. right box spring to the left side and the left box spring to the right side.
• To avoid damage to the mattress or foundation and risk the possibility of personal injury, please do not attempt to move or turn the mattress or foundation by yourself.
• Jordans highly recommends the excelsior premium mattress protector, which includes a 10 Year Warranty against stains and manufacturing defects. These premium mattress covers are available at all Jordans Interiors and Casual Home stores.
